Now available, "A Thousand Times I've Thought of You", released, March 2001. This CD honors Kristi's brother, Greg Cowles , who died on September 26, 1998 at age 50. It contians 13 songs, four of which are originals written about Greg's life. The title of this CD emerged out of a poem that Kristi's brother, Jhan Cowles, wrote, which she later put to music. The lyrics and melody to another original,"Snow Lies Softly" were written by Kristi's sister, Andrea Cowles Nelson.
I love this album . . . my soul loves this album . . . my heart loves the album. Well done. Brava, Brava, Brava! Cowles' warm and sultry voice washes over you like a healing balm. Her original compositions interspersed with an outstanding selection of other songs, plus her personal experience of losing a loved one, make this album exceptional. The arrangements are finely textured and expertly performed. Cowles includes humor and hope while not shying away from deep grief -- not an easy task. I know I'll be sharing this CD with many friends.
