This website contains four diverse sections, all intimately connected by a chronological thread we hope you will find intriguing. The synchronistic thread which wove us all together has been a remarkable journey . . .
Singing Wolf Center was born in 1990 as a cultural change workshop center. It was originally located in rural Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, hosting hundreds of workshops for many years. In the fall of 2007 it quietly moved to the Applegate Valley in southwest Oregon, where it hibernated for a few years. If you click on the Singing Wolf page, you will get a sense of its seventeen year history, as well as tentative plans to resurrect the Center in it's new home . . .
Pederson Victorian B&B was also created in 1990 until it was sold in fall of 2007 -- once again becoming a private residence. This majestic 1880 Victorian was also home to Singing Wolf Center. Since thousands of wonderful people stayed at Pederson Victorian, many also attending workshops spanning almost two decades, we decided to honor the creativity and enjoyment that occurred at this unique earth-friendly B&B. We hope many of you, who stayed there and kept returning, will enjoy our wee photographic memorial. So much magic happened there . . .
Singing Wolf Center and Pederson Victorian were both created by cultural pioneer, Kristi Cowles. This big dream of hers kept her hopping throughout this second career. Yet, it wasn't long before she was once again doing music. So in 1998, she founded Singing Wolf Productions by creating her first CD, "Shagbark Hickory Spirit," -- thirteen original songs with potent cultural-change messages. That inspiration was followed by three more CDs. So if your interests lean toward music, please visit Kristi Cowles Music . . .
You might at this point be asking how one takes a giant leap from a green B&B, workshop center, and music, to leather footwear? Well, here's a hint, "How many songs have been written throughout the centuries -- about love?" On that note, you could leap to 2006, when Kristi found Arthur, or was it the other way around? Almost immediately, they knew . . . and it wasn't long before Kristi sold everything except for family antiques, and moved out to the Applegate Valley to build a new life with this extraordinary man. Arthur has been the proud owner (along with his deceased wife, Linda) of Country Spirit Crafts for many decades, creating astoundingly beautiful shoes, boots, and sandals. We invite you to view them and hear more of the story . . .
